Social Spark is Live!

Finally! After months of anticipation, Social Spark, the newest offering from the creators of PayPerPost, Ted Murphy and Company, also known as Izea, has gone live. It is now open to the public to join, even if they are not Izea bloggers they can become part of the community and make friends.

Here is my Social Spark profile. I had that avatar from a long time back and just couldn’t resist using it. That woman reminds me of the character, the nosy operator, that Lily Tomlin used to play on Laugh-In. Are you old enough to remember?

Anyway, I would have done it for free eventually, but when I saw an opp in PPP that would pay me to offer up my opinion of SocialSpark, well certainly I took it!

So here is what I think. I don’t like the interface nearly as much as I do the one in PPP. There is too much information to process, too many things to try to keep up with, and from what I am reading on the boards there are several bugs when it comes to taking opps. I haven’t taken one yet so I don’t know for sure what all the bugs are about. One thing I don’t understand is the whole Queying system. I guess I need to read all the frequently asked questions at the Izea boards and learn about it before I take my first opp.

I am being patient, though, hoping that if I am they will have worked out the problems in a short time. The crew at Izea is being understanding and really listening to input. Social Spark is still in Beta, which means that’s what it’s all about, making SS the most it can be for both advertisers and bloggers. I look forward to a long relationship with both PPP and Social Spark.
