Couch Potato Time
Do you ever just run out of gas? I guess that’s what’s happened to me. I have been either working on my blog, my query letter or editng my novel day and night since Feb. 13th, and yesterday I crashed. I laid on the couch and watched TV, which is something I haven’t done in a very long time. But my eyes were too tired to even read a book. Do you know they have a Spanish version of Jerry Springer?? I didn’t watch, just saw it while I was channel surfing. But I did watch a Lifetime movie–well, I had it on, anyway. Why do they have so many movies with devilish, psycho men and distraught women? I thought we’d evolved more than that.
No matter, the rest was very healing. By evening I felt almost human again. My husband is a gamer and doesn’t watch much TV either, but last night we piled up in bed and watched the beginning episode of this season’s The Apprentice. We really like that show. I didn’t care much for Donald Trump until I started watching it, but I actually like him now. He’s a smooth operator, weird hair and all.
I have decided to do the couch thing again today. When our bodies talk, we should listen. (’specially when they get as old as this one!)
I have also decided that today would be the perfect day to follow Follow That Star’s example and begin spotlighting a blog from my blogroll once a week. And I think it’s only fair that Follow That Star should be the first. You just gotta check out this blog! There’s SO much stuff there, it’s one of the neatest blogs I’ve ever seen. When you go there, please leave a comment and say that Denise Kincy sent you.
Ok. Off to make breakfast and soak up some TV Land. I really love old shows like Andy Griffith and Leave it to Beaver, don’t you?
