Reviewing Last Night’s Oscars
I am so VERY happy that Forest Whitaker won best actor. I was rooting for him all along and I squealed with delight when they announced that he’d won. I was also thrilled for Jennifer Hudson. Simon Cowell, how DOES crow taste?
The Departed is a fantastic movie and deserved to win best picture. I was disappointed that Helen Mirren won best actress for her portrayal of the queen of England, but not surprised. Us Americans have always wanted to be like the British. We think they are so damn classy. But if you need many Brits they come off more like snobby.
Anyway, as Ellen says–and by the way, didn’t she look lovely in that red velvet suit? She was glowing with joy too. Made me feel good for her. I love Ellen–here is a run down of last night’s Oscar winners from Yahoo.
