The POLICE–the Soundtrack of My Life
I just about flipped when I learned that there is a new police cd. And I am so psyched to hear that they are actually going on tour! Sting is great by himself, don’t get me wrong, but I could pretty much tell you the story of my life with the songs by the Police.
I have often felt like THE KING OF PAIN, and often have thought, especially in romantic relationships, DON’T STAND SO CLOSE TO ME. I have had men who I could have sang WRAPPED AROUND YOUR FINGER to, and have also had men who could sing that song to me. I have experienced the feeling that the song EVERY BREATH YOU TAKE brings on, and have also felt like someone else thought the same thing.
The songs of the Police are songs that all of us at one time or another in our lives can relate to. When I became a spiritual person, I SO related to the song SPIRITS IN THE MATERIAL WORLD, because that is all we are. I can also remember the sexual energy that I felt when I first heard ROXANNE. That was when I was really having a ball being single and it sent a message all of us girls in that generation needed to hear. And who has never felt the sort of love for someone that MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE brought forth? If you never have, I feel sorry for you.
If you are too young to have grown up with the music of the Police, I heartily recommend that you get this CD. It WILL have an effect on your life too. Here is a list of the songs that are on this CD. Boy oh boy, memories, memories.
