Review of “Rise and Shine” by Anna Quindlen
I read this book in two days. It was that good. But Anna Quindlen cannot write a bad book. The first book of hers I read was called BLACK AND BLUE and was made into a movie. It was a story of domestic abuse. I think I have read everything she’s written.
RISE AND SHINE is the story of two sisters, one who is a very famous newscaster, world famous as well as rich. The story is told from the viewpoint of the non-famous sister who lives in the shadow of her big sister, the star. It is such a great study in siblings dynamics and also a really good review of the socialite scene in New York.
I enjoyed the book thoroughly and would definitely recommend it.
