Medicscan

I want to tell you about a really cool new medical, well tool I guess you would call it, or a safety precaution. Your medical records will be instantly available when you need them most, at any rate. Medicscan allows you to capture an image of your medical insurance card from both sides of the card and then the image can be inserted into data sheets, saved to a file, or exported to any other application, as well as emailed and sent to an FTP or web address.

But just think of the time saving efficiency this offers your doctor’s office? There will be no paperwork and your information is guaranteed to be accurate since it is being scanned. One of the best features is that this needs no external power supply. So that tells me that in an emergency situation, (think shades of Katrina) people could be taken care of so much faster, lives even being saved.
All that needs to happen is that the person’s card is placed into the ScanShell 800N medical card scanner and the automatic card-feed detection mechanism will trigger the scan and scan the card in a matter of seconds. After which MedicScan will instantaneously take over the process and export or store the image depending on the settings.
