CollegeNet’s Scholarship Election
Wow, here is one of the greatest ideas I have seen, well, maybe ever! It is not often you come across something this fair and this brilliant and as you can tell I am really excited by it. Here is the deal. At CollegeNet.Com they have what they call a scholarship election where students get to choose who gets scholarship money through the election process. How democratic! And empowering! This kind of thing makes me really and honestly love the internet, for without it this kind of thing would not be possible on such a grand scale, nowhere near it. But since there are millions of students who practically live online, here is their chance to make a difference in someone else’s life, someone deserving.
Not only will lucky but deserving students reap the financial rewards, but just think of the intellectual benefits to all students who participate. This type of program , which I have never seen before and truly am excited about, encourages fair and balanced interaction between students, the freedom to express their personal opinions, the motivation to research the candidates and get to know them to make the most informed choice as to who receives the scholarship money.
I am truly impressed.
