My Life Has Been a Romance Novel
If you read Romance Novels then you are aware of the fact that things have changed dramatically since the days of the hunky man with the bare chest riding up on his white horse to rescue the damsel in distress. Romance novels this day and time are much more realistic. In fact, I honestly believe parts of my life would make a great romance novel. I have been fortunate enough to have been loved many times, and even though I am now 52 years old I will never give up on romance. Romance is the sugar in your tea, the cherry on top of your sundae, the ingredient that is needed to make life spicy and fun. One of the most romantic experiences of my life was the first date I had with my ex-husband. We went to a botanical garden, where beautiful flowers and gardens set the tone for romance. He couldn’t keep his hands off me. Every where we found a secretive place in the garden we were kissing. I was in heaven. I liked him when we left home and loved him by the time we left the garden.
And though I am single now, he and I are still friends. Now, when I want romance I turn to some of the modern day romantic novels to give me a dose of romance. I hope to find romance again, or better yet, that it finds me. A life without romance is a bland life indeed.
