The Fenster School-Underachievers Boarding School
It is refreshing and hope inducing to learn that there is a boarding school for teens who are having trouble with either grades or adjusting to life. The Fenster school was founded in 1944 and its mission is to provide an environment where students can reach their INDIVIDUAL potential. I like that word, INDIVIDUAL, because that is the thing, we are not all created equally, every single person has strengths and weaknesses, some are endowed with many more strengths than weaknesses and those people are lucky. But for those who are not blessed with grandness, learning to appreciate and bolster the strengths they do have builds self esteem and in turn makes the person the success they were meant to be.
But it is not all about self esteem at the Fenster School, though that is a huge component of their success. However, the serious business of learning personal responsibility, the ability to earn a high school diploma, and therefore gain acceptance
into an appropriate college, university, community college or junior college is also what the Fenster School is about.
