Well I did it. I joined another dating site. This one I hadn’t heard about before and when I discovered that it was absolutely free I decided I would give it a shot. I mean, heck, what have I got to lose? And who knows? Maybe at this new free dating site I will meet the man of my dreams.
It was SO easy to join! It took me less than five minutes to fill out the profile, which is pending right now, and upload a picture. But what I really was impressed by was the fact that on my home page is the most current conversations listed that are going on in their forums. Also, they offer me my own blog. AND, you can see who has viewed you, AND do a background check on someone from their site.
So far so good. Very easy navigation and user friendly. I will let you know if I meet anyone special after my profile gets approved.

THIS SITE IS BULL!! YOU THINK YOUR TALKING TO SOMEONE FROM THE STATES AND FIND OUT THAT THEY ARE STRANDED IN NIGERIA AND NEED MONEY TO COME HOME, ONLY THEY DON’T HAVE A U.S. BANK ACCOUNT SO THEY NEED FOR YOU TO WESTERN UNION THEM SOME PETTY CASH.
DON’T PEOPLE IN NIGERIA KNOW WE’RE CATCHING ON TO THE BUNK SCHEMES?
We are a pretty tight group of people that watch out for each other. Fake profiles and stranded foreigners are ousted pretty quickly.

It is a site where you get out of it what you put into it. Don’t expect to meet your perfect mate in the next five minutes. Be patient. Make friends in the forums, and before you know it, that special one will emerge =)

The site sucks I joined last night, told me wait 3 hours before I could post in the forums. So I waited 3 hours and posted, I posted today also then all of a sudden I can not post. I am told new users have to wait 24 hours. LOL from 3 hours to 24 hours. They couldn’t make up their mind? Not many users in the forums anyways. Not as crazy as Pof. I would have stayed at datehookup.com but it is annoying being told to wait to post forums again. What a lousy site.
As said before, this site sucks. 99% of female profiles are fake. Looks like the administrators make the profiles which are so generic, and write all of the reviews about Datehookup, which are also generic and always positive. Absolutely pathetic site.

i like datehookup dont know what the fuss about its free!!! The women i meet here are who they say they are…Never meet a fake nor an generic.
This site is a scam! It has brought me nothing but a headache and needing to report it from someone that had stolen another identity. They sent me flowers and then to find out the person wanted money to get out of Africa somewhere. Asking for money. And a sob story. I did some investigating on my own and found out it all came from Nigeria. All the emails i was getting from men, were all badly spelled and written as if they were speaking in a foreign tongue. Could hardly make out what the heck they were saying. I am very disappointed that any web site could get away with the. It has happened on another dating site as well. That can be a bit scary for a women who is truly and honestly looking for someone special. This kind of sites will put off anyone. Some more has to be done to track these fakes. All they are doing is keeping good people from meeting good people. So internet servers or who ever sets up pages for companies need to do a better job when web sites are formed to suite the public.
I have been closed to being scammed too but didn’t allow to happen,
from here and singlesnet. Match.com has some scammers and that is
a paying dating site. I caught one today with using a hawaiian
model’s photo and last week, I found another one trying to scam
me from Nigeria with a model from the same modeling agency.
Those scammers have to realize they can’t mess with us.
I was harrassed by other male members in the forums from the very first day. Watch out for the white guy with the wart on his face. This kook posts 24/7, and spends a great deal of time attempting to ‘get rid’ of the ‘male competition’. ‘Oh, the troll is back’! ‘Oh, let’s flag this guy everybody’! ‘He made fun of my wart’! OOOOO!
Datehookup.com is pretty much like any small town USA. Except the people are scattered over the world and congregate online.
We are occasionally plagued by trolls and trouble makers like glimmerturd but they are usually detected by the site admin and deleted fairly quickly.
It is a good site, but I have come too notice that they are suspending folks for not even breaking the rules, yet letting folks post pics of illegal activities, and not doing anything about it
This site sucks. About 95% of the female profiles are fake. Don’t waste your time.
