Review of “Life Sentences” by Alice Blanchard

I just finished reading this great book called “Life Sentences” by Alice Blanchard. If you like psychological thrillers as much as I do this is a book you’ll love! It is the story of two sisters, one a scientist, one a mentally ill wild child.

Daisy Hubbard’s life revolves around trying to find a cure for a rare genetic disease that killed her young brother. Anna Hubbard’s life revolves around trying to keep her sanity and often failing. When Anna disappears yet one more time, Daisy and her mother are not too concerned at first, Anna is known for her disappearing acts. But when months go by without a word from Anna, Daisy decides that its time to go looking for her sister.

What she discovers is much more than she bargained for. But in the process of finding Anna, for the first time Daisy also ends up finding love. But not before she is faced with one of the most evil men she has ever known. The bodies pile up as Daisy’s affection for the down on his luck sheriff who assists her grows.

I would definitely recommend this book. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Alice Blanchard has a way of making ANY story interesting, but she out did herself with “Life Sentences.”

Yes! I also love Alice blanchard’s writing. I read on a blog that she’s had trouble with her agent. Where is her next novel? She runs rings around most thriller writes and it’s been a while.

She is VERY good, I agree, Sarah T

DARKNESS PEERING. Her first. Awesome book.
