The World Floor Covering Association
I met this guy a few weeks ago through a friend and he keeps calling me. He says that he can’t find work. He has been a tile setter for 30 years. But what I wondered is if he does flooring why does it have to be only tile setting? Oh, well. Maybe that really is all he knows how to do. Or maybe he needs to talk to the organization that has been in business for almost 50 years, The World Floor Covering Assocation, (WFCA). They have played a major role in the advancement of the floor covering industry by shaping pubic and industry policy and promoting professional development of their retailers.
The flooring industry’s only unbiased source of information, the WFCA has a membership of around 3000 retailers and is dedicated to providing consumers the information, service and support needed to ensure a successful floor covering purchase experience.
Visiting their website I found this awesome tool that is a virtual designer! It lets you take any room in the house, which will appear in black and white–I chose the kitchen–and it let me pick out the flooring, countertops and cabinets, all in color, of course, to create the exact kitchen I wanted. Sweet! Try it out. It’s fun!
