Review of “Syndicated Elitist”

Next on my list of blogs to review from my greatly successful post at Blog Catalog is what is touted as “the official web presence of Benjamin Kerensa,” a blog titled Syndicated Elitist.

I spent probably half an hour reading posts and scanning the layout and content of Benjamin’s blog. It is a pretty nice blog, organized, with interesting subject matter, and I like the fact that it has a ton of categories.

Here are the things I feel could improve Syndicated Elitist.

1. Make the posts titles shorter, better keyword optimized
2. Your twitter widget needs Were changed to we’re, (I’m a grammar and spelling fiend.)
3. Who is we? If the blog is one person’s web presence, why is there the use of “we” in so many posts?
4. Charge more than $1 for that ad space. It makes it seem like you feel your blog isn’t worth more. Try $10 and I bet you get some takers. Advertise your ad space.
5. You suggested in your post about Entrecard that people would do better to promote their blog on Blog Catalog rather than Entrecard. This is tunnel vision. Bloggers should be promoting their blog on numerous social networking sites.

That’s about it. Now that didn’t hurt so much, did it?
