Shopping at the Dollar Store
Nobody has to know that the shirt you got for $4.99 that would have cost $14.99 at Target came from the dollar store. If you are not a dollar or 99 cent store shopper, let me tell you, you don’t know what you are missing.
I just got back from General Dollar which is two blocks down the street from me, (I don’t own a car, I live in the city and walk or take the bus wherever I go, a frugal move on my part that I’ll talk about later) and I spent $38. This is what I got and the prices:
1. A quart of Red Kist apple juice–$1.00
2. Three nice shirts from a 40% off clearance rack–$14.00
3. 4 drinking glasses–$2.50
4. 5 hand towels–$5.00
5. 3 cans of Gravy Train dog food–$.99
6. A Disney brand outfit for my new granddaughter–$7.99
7. Pancake mix–$.99
8. Folgers coffee–$4.00
Plus tax, of course.
I would have paid twice as much for the same list of stuff at Target or Wal-Mart.
