Quality, Affordable Entertainment

Even though this blog is about frugal living I will sometimes talk about entertainment. Why? Because a life with no fun is not a life at all, and balance is an essential to living a quality life.

One of the most affordable ways to get out of the house and not spend a ton of money is to go to the movies. One of my favorite actors, Johnny Depp, has a movie coming out on December 21st that would be a perfect Christmas excursion for you and your family. The movie is called “Sweeney Todd” and is directed by Johnny’s long time friend, Tim Burton, of “The Nightmare Before Christmas” fame.

I fell in love with Johnny Depp when I first saw him in “Edward Scissorhands.” My favorite scene is probably the one where Edward trims the hedges into all kinds of animal shapes. I also loved Johnny Depp in the movie “Secret Window” when he played a frustrated writer who is accused of stealing someone’s story. I like the scene where Mort, Johnny’s character, is alone in the cabin and wonders if he is losing his mind. It is hard to say which movie of those two I liked the best, but if I had to choose it would be “Edward Scissorhands” simply because that was my first introduction to the talented and beautiful Mr. Depp.

What is your favorite Johnny Depp movie and why? I’d love to hear your answers.
If you can see your way this holiday season, please make the time to see “Sweeney Todd.” I know I will. To learn more about the movie you can visit the official Sweeney Todd movie site and you can also visit Sweeney Todd on MySpace

Hi i think Johnny Depp is lush too, but i’m a bit too screamish to to go and watch sweeny todd, i just about maged to watch scissorhands after i got my fella to watch it first just to make sure there was nothing too grisley in it. I know i am a baby.

Frugal entertainment can be a challenge if your not lucky enough to live in a place with lost of choices. I live in London and going to the cinema has become a little too expensive for me these days, so i’ll just have to catch Johnny on video. Great blog by the way.
